This is Australia's swim team in final preparations for making another splash on the world stage.
KENRICK MONK
It's my dream to try and get to this spot, but before the race I thought I don't know if I can do this.
JOURNALIST
Kenrick Monk is considered a possible medal winner. At the Telstra trials in March eight world records were set by five swimmers. Head coach Alan Thompson says it's one of the most powerful swim teams yet.
ALAN THOMPSON
We didn't expect all the world records and Commonwealth records and so on, but it's certainly very pleasing as the head coach to see that occur.
JOURNALIST
Thompson's embracing new technology while training the team at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
ALAN THOMPSON
It gave everyone the opportunity to be filmed using the new computer software technology they have down there. It gave the coaches a lot of feedback with the athletes and we had a lot of good reports that made a big difference to the swimmers techniques.
JOURNALIST
Each swimmer is also stepping up to the blocks with high-tech swim suits.
ALAN THOMPSON
Well I think technology has always been part of our sport and certainly part of all sports. It's certainly one we embrace we are always looking to be cutting edge in our sport science efforts and always looking for the edge that we can be number one.
JOURNALIST
Australia has forty-one swimmers going to the Olympics in August . Over the next few months they'll be training around the world in places like Rome, Monaco, and Barcelona.
